Learning and Skills Council/Job Centre Plus

Interactive CD-Rom project

LSC Interactive CD-Rom Project

Iconography are delighted to have been appointed by the Learning & Skills Council to develop an innovative virtual workshop CD-Rom, based upon training content devised by leading professionals in the field of workplace skills assessment and development; delivered through a series of intensive training workshops.

The brief was to develop an engaging multimedia CD-Rom which re-created in the virtual space the training and competence development content for staff employed in Job Centre Plus branches.

The CD-Rom featured a wealth of strategic policy content to give background and context to the learning materials, combined with a series of interactive learning sessions, exercises and resources to evaluate and score the communications exercise.

Commenting on the way the project was handled John Tempest, Learning & Skills Council's Director of Skills for Life, South West Region who commissioned the work said, "I chose Iconography because I needed someone to turn around a complex job in very short order. The timescale was such that the usual sequence of briefings and sign-off sessions was not going to be possible. So I needed delivery by someone I could trust – and someone who was not going to exploit the situation and overcharge me because it was clear I was on a ridiculous deadline. The final product was exactly as required and bearing in mind the rush – exceeded my expectations."
