Floating on the Internet - Iconography launch a new website for Henshaw Inflatables

Henshaw Inflatables Ltd, based in Wincanton, Somerset have recently commissioned a completely new website to feature their unique range of products, accessories and services. www.henshaw.co.uk

The company have had an existing website for 12 years but found that it was failing to generate enough interest or sales enquiries.

Iconography put forward a proposal for a completely new site that would reinforce the uniqueness of the company, clearly present the breadth of their products and services, encourage positive enquiries and generate on-line shopping.

Founded in 1974, Henshaw's are acknowledged as major force in the global market for Inflatable Boats but don't manufacture any actual vessels -Their acknowledged skill and expertise is in the design, development and manufacture of inflatable tubes and collars for over 80 boat builders throughout the world and as such their products are an integral part of vessels as diverse as small leisure RIB's to military spec RIB's used by armed forces throughout the world. In addition they design and supply various Super Yacht products including Inflatable fenders, Sea Pools and other unique products 'We felt our existing site was failing to match our high profile in the inflatable boat building sector, comments Chris Hornidge, Henshaw's MD,' Iconography quickly picked up on the challenges involved and worked closely with us to create a very clean, attractive and functional website, that we feel reflects our professionalism and expertise.'

The new site clearly features the very comprehensive range of product categories and offers a unique RIB 'visualiser' function that allows on-line customers to 'build their own boat'.

The site has been developed by Ilminster based Iconography who specialise in successfully working with a variety of specialist manufacturers, retailers and organisations to create effective ecommerce websites. The Iconography team have worked closely with Henshaws to co-develop the brief and have created an attractive, easy to use, secure site that incorporates the very latest ecommerce technology.

' The Henshaws project was an interesting challenge,' comments, Iconography MD, Wayne Robbins, 'it was vital that we presented the company in a way that reflected their status in their field - itself a global market while at the same time to creating an robust, easy to access and functional site.'

Putting the best foot forward - On-line shopping from Ecco Shoes Taunton

Retail Oxygen Ltd have recently launched a new ecommerce website www.eccoshoesuk.com to offer an on-line shopping option to complement their ECCO shoes retail store in Taunton, a franchise store of ECCO UK.

The new site has been designed to reflect the current retail operation in terms of the customer experience, product ranges, and the values associated with the Danish brand ECCO.

The site has been developed by Ilminster based Iconography who specialise in successfully working with a variety of specialist independent retailers.
Emma Sleigh and her team at Retail Oxygen are both passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the ECCO Brand and aim to enthuse their customers about the quality, design and comfort of these hand crafted shoes.

' Our passion for our brand and products, coupled with our commitment to providing the best possible customer experience are the real drivers behind our business,' comments Emma Sleigh,' and this set the bar very high for whoever we commissioned to create our new site. Fortunately Iconography quickly picked up on our business culture, the needs of a very loyal customer base and the ECCO ethos - they have created a quality and engaging on-line shop for us and most importantly, it works extremely well!'

The new website features a very comprehensive on-line shopping window driven by the latest ecommerce functionality, with links to all the relevant social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

' The Ecco Shoes UK project has a lot of elements,' comments, Iconography MD, Wayne Robbins, ' we had to pick up on the culture, ethos and values of the globally respected ECCO Brand, blend this with the distinct service proposition of the Taunton operation to create an exciting site while at the same time ensuring that the ecommerce functionality was robust and easy to use'.

Iconography launch Snowboard Shop's 'gnarly' new website

The Snow Board Shop Ltd, the long established specialist Snow Board retailer has recently launched their new ecommerce website www.thesnowboardshop.co.uk which not only offers a really comprehensive web based shop front for their extensive range of products and services but visually generates the look, feel and atmosphere of this exciting winter sport.

The Snowboard Shop, based in Fleet Hampshire opened for the first time in October 2007 and went straight onto the web with an online shopping option, which had served them well over the last five years.

However, it became evident that their site was starting to look dated and this coupled with security issues led to the development of a detailed brief for a completely new, attractive and fully functional website.

The new website features the latest ecommerce functions, with links to all the relevant social media sites such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. A blog has been included to enable customers to keep up-to-date with the latest sports news and embedded videos provide even more product information. Also featured is a sign-up for a regular on-line newsletter with information on latest offers, new products plus a review section for each product featuring no nonsense customer feedback.

You can also pick up the latest snow reports and updates!

Iconography's timing was perfect as they were already in contact with Snow Board Shop's MD Darren James Williams and were able to quickly build a good working relationship to take the brief through to successful completion at a competitive price.

'We are really pleased with the end result', comments Darren,' we were immediately impressed with the Iconography team, who took a lot of time to understand our business - the result is an slick site that works well and captures the buzz of our business '

Run by a small, dedicated team of snowboarders with years of experience in the snowboarding industry The Snow Board team pride themselves on their levels of expertise, customer service and top quality kit.

' The Snow Board Shop project gave us a real challenge,' comments, Iconography MD, Wayne Robbins, ' we had to pick up on the unique culture, style and dynamics of the sport to create an exciting site while at the same time ensuring that the ecommerce functionality was robust and easy to use - we are pleased with the outcome'

7 ECOMMERCE THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW

Online shoppers who use a website's search box are nearly three times more likely to buy - Have you got state of the art search facilities on your site?

82% of shoppers were reported to be more likely to use a store that offered free shipping. 82%!! That number is pretty epic. Have you got a simple tool for building the carriage cost into the price of the item and offering free delivery?

Second to this was a price promise, resulting in 72% of buyers more likely to use the store. Clearly, regardless of why a buyer chooses to shop online in the first place (convenience, lifestyle, choice & variety etc.), it appears that the online shopper is still ultimately price sensitive. It does make sense - knowledge is power and the Internet and comparison sites give the online buyer a wealth of knowledge within a couple of clicks

£5.1 Billion was spent online in the UK during March, how much did you contribute?

71% of UK retailers expect growth in online sales in 2011, but how many are confident of where it is going to come from?

According to Verdict & Ovum 11.5% of UK shoppers currently use their mobiles to research before shopping and 38% do so whilst actually shopping. However only 2.1% currently shop via their smartphone. Are you thinking about m-commerce yet?

Luxury retailer Jimmy Choo claims that Facebook is now the second biggest driver of traffic to their ecommerce site after Google. How are you engaging with your audiences?
