Offering customers the same sales experience instore and online


When demand outstripped supply, And So To Bed began to manufacture their own designs based on traditional pieces which led to the opening of their first shop on the Kings Road in London. With the success of their unique and luxurious designs they now operate throughout the UK.

We were thrilled to be able to support this well-known High Street retailer re-platform from their old Magento eCommerce site; as part of a broader re-energising of the ’And So To Bed’ brand, its proposition and the customer experience online and instore.

With emphasis on the ‘bigger picture,’ And So To Bed wanted to radically improve the instore customer experience and empower shop floor staff with the tools to interact with potential customer instore, anywhere in the store, and have product information and EPoS facilities to hand.

Our approach was timely, in the sense that it coincided with the extension of our core eCommerce platform and it was this new innovation – an enterprise level eCommerce platform with an integral EPoS – a single coherent system for online and face-to-face retailing, not reliant on an integration, which really caught their attention.


The outdated Magento platform didn’t sit well with the high end and specialist retail experience And So To Bed sought to provide.

A fluid instore retail experience

With their IXO Commerce website already hitting targets, the team at And So To Bed started to focus on the other services we can provide. They wanted their customers to enjoy all the online benefits, no matter their journey to purchase.

Today, you can walk into any And So To Bed location and have your order taken by OMNIS. Their salespeople sit with customers and build up an order through the intuitive interface. Then, the customer can either pay on-site, or retrieve their quote online and complete the purchase from the comfort of their own home.

Point of sale

Orders are added through a quick to use, intuitive interface. Orders can be accessed by staff in any location and customer queries are quickly resolved.

With everything from product inventory to order details in one place, whatever the sales channel, every customer can expect the same service.

Focused reporting

With detailed reporting, manager can keep track of quotes and sales in all stores simultaneously, tracking the performance of individual salespeople. 


Retrieve a Quote

And So To Bed have turned their IXO Commerce website into an omnichannel solution that works with their existing structure; not against it. Salespeople are able to take customers through the buying process in-store, carefully selecting options and products which are a perfect fit. Then, if the customer isn't quite ready to purchase, a quote is automatically emailed to them.

A quote can be easily retrieved and paid for online, or even edited if the customer forgot something, but the sale will still be attributed to that store and that salesperson. This means that And So To Bed get clear visibility of the success of the program, as well as having the data to manage their staff effectively. 



With some of their products having literally thousands of option combinations, careful attention was paid to the customer journey. These follow a simple step by step so that the customer can easily understand the buying journey, whether they're on their own at home, or with a salesperson in the showroom.
