Increase your sales with these simple tips
With Black Friday just around the corner are you and your website ready?
We've created a little guide on how to be as successful as possible:
Unless you tell your customers you have special Black Friday offers, how are they meant to know about it?
Make sure you email your customer database in advance, ideally two or three times (but not too close together), and remember your customers are most likely getting a number of promotional emails from potential competitors, so make sure yours stands out from the crowd.
We would also recommend sending an email the day of Black Friday, with a strong call to action. Make sure you stagger your emails, rather than one bulk dispatch. This prevents a sudden flood of visitors to your site.
You may want to think about getting some new graphics created, a nice shiny web banner with a dedicated Black Friday page, or maybe you want to promote a special discount code. Make sure the graphics stand out and are easy to read.
If you need support for this, make sure to get your requests in early with the team.
It’s great to let your current customers know you have special offers, but what about everyone else?
Make sure you utilise all social media platforms you are currently on and create some eye-catching content.
Current stats show that video content is more engaging compared to a static image, so why not try and create some branded videos.
You’ll never be able to prevent abandoned carts, but how about reminding customers to finish the checkout process?
The average abandoned cart rate is 67.91%, so if you could reduce this even slightly with minimal effort, you could greatly increase your overall sales.
IXO Commerce has an abandoned cart email integrated within the platform and can be automated. If you need support with this, contact the support team.
With the higher footfall on your website, use this as a great opportunity to capture more email addresses.
Since the implementation of GDPR you may have fewer email addresses in your marketing database, so use Black Friday to your advantage.
Ask customers to sign-up to your mailing list, you may want to offer them something in return such as a free download or a discount code.
